Exercise Science

Exercise Science

BS, Transfer Guide/BDP

Exercise science prepares students to work in exercise-related areas by examining the effects of exercise and physical activity on the human body. The Exercise Science (BS) degree is primarily for students who prefer to have a more flexible career path with multiple options. The extensive choices within the Exercise Science electives and Interdisciplinary electives provide the foundation required for immediate employment in the fitness/wellness industry or for successful admission to graduate or professional schools.

Courses taken at community college:

The HES Department also offers a Master of Science in Athletic Training (MS-AT) graduate program. Undergraduate ES majors who are interested in pursuing Accelerated Admissions to the MS-AT program should pay close attention to the recommended course sequencing and schedule an appointment with Dr. Jennifer Howard early in their academic career. Direct students to the MS-AT Prospective Students page for more information. NUT: Wellness majors who minor in ES can also complete the MS-AT prerequisite courses; see this draft four year plan. NOTE: ASU's Health Professions Advising's website also has a MS-AT page.
