A big part of being a Mountaineer is the experience of living in Boone. Transfer students less than a year out of high school are required to live on campus. Students out of high school longer than a year have the choice of applying to live on-campus or finding an off-campus rental. Click here to learn more!

Gen Ed Exchange & Reverse Transfer
These two programs are for North Carolina Community College students who are close to completing their Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degrees when they transfer to Appalachian. Students can choose from two options (if eligible) to receive their Associate's degrees from their community college while taking coursework at Appalachian.
