T-POP is a day of activities designed to help newly admitted Appalachian transfer students find the answers to all of their questions and prepare for their upcoming Orientation session. A typical day involves sessions on financial aid, transfer of credit, advising and involvement in campus life. We also have a Q&A session with the transfer student mentors, and a tour of the campus.
Participation in this program is completely free! As an incentive to attend this day-long workshop, Admissions is willing to waive your enrollment "advanced payment" or deposit when you complete your acceptance agreement.
Dates for Summer/Fall 2018 entry are Monday, April 23; Friday, April 27; or Monday, April 30.
Orientation is required for all students and allows new students to get a feel for campus, meet with an academic advisor and other faculty, and finalize their first semester class schedules. Follow these steps to register for orientation, complete Early Registration Advising, and register for classes.

Trailhead Academy is a four-day program where new students meet and get to know other new students while learning to enhance their leadership skills; form lasting bonds with fellow students; learn about themselves, how they work with others, and how they will become a part of the ASU and Boone communities; and learn the kind of contributions they can make to Appalachian in the years ahead. 2018 Trailhead Academy will be held Sunday, June 24 through Wednesday, June 27, 2018. For more information or to register visit trailhead.appstate.edu.
