Transfer Recruitment & Pre-Transfer Advising
Assists future transfer students (Boone campus | Hickory campus | App State Online) through the application process, advises on classes to take at their current institutions, and works closely with our community college partners. Find your assigned counselor.
Involvement & Retention
Helps students who have been admitted prepare, transition, and become involved while also connecting students to academic and personal support services to ensure their success at Appalachian.
TrACE (Transfer Accelerate Complete Engage)
UNC research grant program that provides intentional support to NCCC transfer students with an AA/AS degree to increase graduation rates.
Operations
Evaluates coursework for all students seeking to transfer credit from another 2- or 4-year domestic or international institution, military service, or AP / IB / CLEP / Cambridge exams; processes transfer applications; conducts outreach to students to facilitate completion of all admissions steps.
