Bailey Wangerien's dream is to manage a Disney hotel. After completing her Associate's at Stanly County Community College, she took her next step toward her dream by transferring to App State to study Hospitality and Tourism Management. Since she transferred in the fall of 2023, she has become a QUEEN of transfer student involvement! As of the 2025 spring semester, Bailey is serving as a Transfer Student Mentor, President of Tau Sigma Transfer Honor Society, and Social Chair for BOTH the Walker College of Business Transfer Club and Transfer Student Organization! On top of all that, she serves as Vice President of the Hospitality and Tourism Management Student Association.
When asked what her favorite part of being an App State student is, Bailey said, "My favorite part about being at App is having the balance of community and my own space within the Boone area. The hustle and bustle of a college campus means there is always something going on and a great environment to make new connections. But it also has outdoor space and places that hold a sense of peace."
