Transfer Admissions & Engagement

He/Him  Hey Mountaineers! My name is Braiden McAlpin, and I transferred to App State from Catawba Valley Community College after earning my associate degree. I am double majoring in Cellular/Molecular Biology and Biochemistry and conduct population genetics research in Dr. Estep’s lab. I am a member of the Tau Sigma Transfer Honor Society and Tri Beta Biological Honors Society, participate in Biology Departmental Honors, and work as a Biology peer mentor. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, crocheting, weaving, learning about plants, and spending time with friends.
